About the event
Dennis will share stories of his time living and working in Canada’s most northerly civilian community. He reads tales of experiencing months of complete darkness, of his attempts to learn Inuktitut, of seal hunting, of watching the annual whale migration, of building an igloo, and of cold water plunging in the Arctic Ocean.
Dennis’ storytelling weaves historical evidence with the day-to-day comings and goings of a small Inuit community. Sometimes raw, sometimes humorous, sometimes serious, his stories will delight you and allow you to reflect passionately about the human experience.
Written and read by Dennis Hawkins-Bogle. Produced & directed by Heather Gordon Murphy.Â
